We had 1” of rain and a big temperature drop; 58 degrees now, nearly 80 yesterday. I went foraging again this morning.

I’m trying to use more of what grows around me. Here are stinging nettles and morels. The mushrooms are showing more size, but this temperature drop may signal the end of the season.

Picked a bunch of stinging nettles yesterday and made a half gallon on tea.
Those dry land fish are nice!
I haven’t done tea yet. I blanch them, then drain and saute with olive oil and sea salt. Pretty tasty. If they get crispy, they make a great salad topping.

As soon as my bike battery is charged I'll be heading out back to the meadows to do a bit of dirt fishing(river is high so no bank to fish off of)and pick another mess of nettles for more tea.

Do you just steep the leaves in boiling water and strain?
