June gloom is the typical weather we have this time of year in Southern California. The onshore breeze brings in the fog, and the tempretures are cool and typically 65 in the morning to 72 in the afternoon. My bud came out to Ventura County and the sales were pretty good. My first find, 2 fossil watches. Not just any fossil watches, but watches from the 1993 International Battery Great American Race (from Huntington Beach, CA to Norfolk Va). New batteries and these are as good as new.

Next I found an Elite 2200 Metal Detector. Nice and like new. No marks or scratches. $8, and one of our metal detecting friends should be happy to get this for $100 to $125 (I think).

Nice Canon Pixma IP1700, New in Box

Trader Vic's Coconut Mugs, 2 for $1

Nice text book. Cheapest on Amazon is $175, I paid $5. Bigger risk than I normally take since the book is now almost 9 years old, but it seems to still be in use, so all I need is 1 buyer taking 1 class...

A couple of new sealed games, $1 each

I have passed over Scrabble sets hundreds of times, but now that I know that the tiles sell for more than the sets do... 2 games $2.

Last but not least, I found this really nice outdoor light with motion detection for $4. Should go for $75.

Only problem, I did not get any of the furniture or fixin's I need for my new house... Found a few nice cups and a set of silverware for $10. And someone, please tell me how this happened. My wife and I have separated (very amicably). Today, she came over after my son's baseball game and looked through my finds and took a Sterling Silver bracelet... I mean, we are separated, and she says, "Oooo. I like this..." and walks away with it. Well, I look at is as a down payment for a friendly divorce. If that happens, it is worth all of my silver... Probably all of my gold, too.
