That is the prettiest silver I think we ever made. Nice find on the Merc !

It was head up. You can see in the picture in the dirt, a bit of smear I wiped it slightly and saw the 1916 and set it back down took a just in case picture stuck it in my zipper pocket and didn't look at it till I got home.

The elusive D has evaded me as well. I hope the coin Gods grant us the 1916D roll of dimes we deserve. Happy hunting
