Alabama Gold Camp is located In Cragford Al in the heart of the Alabama
Gold Belt. The camp offers a full service campground and miles of
shaded creek banks for primative camping including bathrooms and hot
showers. The creeks are filled with layers of hard pack Gold bearing gravel
for dredging. There if a old river bed thru the property with thick
gravel layers for high-banking. One Eyed Jacks store is on the property for
your camping and prospecting needs

i visited the AGC last summer while Lonnie Seal (the owner) was starting it up. had a great time ,and found some gold while dredgeing. a 5 inch dredge is the max. that can be used there. no permits needed! very resonable rates on camping(hookups or primative) and Lonnie rents dredges,highbankers. and now has a store going up thatll seel mining equipment, food.its located in eastern bama! easy access to the creeks and camping areas! the primative camping area is next to the creek and has lots of shade. it was about 10 degrees cooler under the trees there than at the main camp. it was june and got cool during the nights.
