$600 mwr halves: (2) 1968D

Good news is I finally reach 10oz (which to some here might seem very anti-climactic). Bad news is the value to date actually went down. :-\

I'm a careful observer of the economy and silver prices. I'm pretty sure silver prices are going to skyrocket sometime in the next 6 months.

$455 loose halves: skunk
$660 mwr halves: 1964, 1968D, 1969D. Since my start of CRH, only my second 1964 Kennedy.

And Silverslug -- I hope you're right. Every time I add to my total the value goes down! Ha!

It must be colder than the dickens up there in Wisconsin. Thank goodness for coin roll hunting so you can treasure hunt in winter. Do you ever detect in the winter up there?

Once the ground freezes that's pretty much it for me. And winter has come early this year, which sucks. So, yeah, CRH supplements my hunt.

How about you? I can imagine that the heat is the only thing that might stop you throughout the year...

Slow week, Alchemist, but it sure beats a skunk.
Was just perusing your metal detecting finds above: Very impressive clad total for the year, and a decent number of old coins. I just took up metal detecting in April of 2014. I have $70 in clad, a few Wheaties, but no silver yet. I have permission to hunt a church built in 1925, so I expect to score a few silvers soon.

Had a great day! With time off today I hit the local banks, buying mainly mwr's with a few loose halves. About $1,000 searched. Here are my results:

(2) Walking Liberty's (including a "wender"): 1936, 1942
(3) 1964 Kennedy's
(7) 40%: 1965, (3)1967, (2)1968D, 1969D

My best single day haul. Getting that many 90% was a thrill!

Great day, Alchemist. Congrats on a double Walker day!

yep, with the little volume I do it was a rush to get 2 in one day. I flushed out one bank of their $140 of rolls and got most of my silver from that. Too bad they didn't have more on hand.

Great week, Alchemist. Walkers are always a rush.

I usually purchase $200 in rolled halves at a pop, a couple times a week. This week I made four trips to my p/u bank; the first 3 trips produced 2 silvers, and the last trip (just today), produced 5 more, including a Walker. Nice way to end the week.

$800 mwr halves: 1942, (3)1967, 1968D and (2)1969D

Nice Walker. Pretty good number of finds for the relatively small amounts you're searching.

yeah. If I get one silver a week, I'm pretty happy about the consistency of return. I sometimes splurge and pick up a box! :laughing7:
