Time to bring in the big digging toys .. Here, the folks that dug my new well are installing the water lines. The house did not have a well previously. The outbuilding seen here is now the "pump house" where the pressure tank and water filters are located.

In these photos, the underground electrical cable to the pump house is being buried:

Here is a shot of the side of the house we were working on today .. we found a 1903 Indian Head penny, but nothing else. Pickins were mighty slim!

Thanks for looking Clay .. It's a fun project which will take a while. Hopefully my updates won't become to mundane. Thanks again!

An Indian head is good, love finding those! I'm enjoying this thread too, always neat to see the non metallic items that are in the ground. Thanks for sharing & hope a lot of good stuff comes out if there!

GREAT! I was a bit reluctant to post since I had no photos of our finds to accompany, but I am very happy that folks enjoy seeing the "happenings." Thanks for looking.

Yes, thanks for posting.

On pic number 5 it looks like the house is leaning to the left. or that's an optical illusion ?

Thanks Mike .. that is an optical illusion ... With that being said, the house was indeed built by unskilled labor during the reconstruction period after the Civil War, so the concept of things being level and plumb was seemingly not in their repertoire.

Nice post.. Congrats on the indian head and thanks for sharing.
