Hunted my spot for a few hours after dinner and as I expected signals were very hard to come by. Only notables were a few early buttons including the larger nipple button. Ive only ever found two nipple buttons and both smaller and at other sites. Getting dark, I reluctantly headed for the boat but decided to do one more pass along the waters edge away from where the bulk of my finds have come. I get a sweet high tone that I cant believe Ive missed in the past. Out pops my first 1 real cob from this site
Any help with id/age appreciated but Im pretty sure its a Phillip V J assayer(1705-23)
On a side note, I have been using my Equinox 600 without headphones here. I have been rinsing the detector with freshwater after every use. This time the tones from the speaker were all muffled and terrible at first but after dunking the head, the problem went away. Not sure whats going on with that
