I was emptying out my pouch and almost threw this out, thinking it was a washer. The light hit it the right way and I could see lettering! Turns out to be a homemade silver ring made from either a Victorian dime or quarter. The diameter is pretty much the size of a dime, so that leads me to believe it was probably a quarter.

Nice save!

Very observant!!!

Heard stories of some of my older coworkers who made rings out of coins as part of art projects in high school shop class. Before my time though. Great save!

Before my time as well haha. This one would have been made from an 1870 -1901 quarter.

Thats a cool ring glad you noticed it.

Funny, I thought the same thing when I found an old silver ring. I thought it was "just some type of washer".

It turned out to be a .900 silver ring and one of my favorite finds. Bottom right.

Glad you saved that one. Would have been a shame if you threw it out.

A vague memory of a high tone when I dug it piqued my curiosity to have a second look at it.
