I headed Out to Old Faithful Yesterday and Met up with my Hunting Buddy
Anonymous Turker. We hit The Park For about 2 Hours
We Wandered a bit and I Settled Near a Ground Level Stone Wall That Channels
The Brook.

After a Few Holes I Got a Solid Repeating 38-39 at about 7 Inches Directly Against The Wall

I Dig Down to Find a 1952 Rosie.

Within 2 Feet I have Another Signal

10-11 Inches My Safari Was Screaming 39! 39!
I dug Down

And Had no clue what i was looking at!

Turns out its an 1883 Hawaiian Quarter Dollar
With King Kalakaua I on the Front
700,000 Struck In California

Are there any Hawaii Members Who Have Dug One of These?

It was with alot of 1940s Silvers..Some ill be Posting Later From Today
Maybe a WWII Connection? Who Knows!

I went on to get another 39 Signal For this 1949-D Washington
All of these Silvers Were Within the same 20 Square Feet

Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

Nice silvers congrats!
Probably somebody's good luck piece. Sounds like there was some sitting around the creek done back then, pocket spills.

great finds!!

Congrats.How sweet that is.HH

Excellent finds. If you searched in Hawaii for decades you probably wouldn't find one of the quarters. That is a spectacular find!

Awesome now that would be a great day. Congrats!

Awesome, love that Hawaiian coin, congrats on some sweet silver.

Man that Hawaiian coin is the frosting on the cake! Amazing!

Thanks everyone. The reeding on the coin is the same as us coins for that time
it says online the same reed mold was used and that it was minted in San Fran.
The coins including today's are all within the ww2 range
maybe a fella mailed it home to his lady or kid for good luck as suggested

Goodnight folks
