I was driving home from school and passed a yard sale that kids from my school were buying old clothes and fanny packs at to be funny so I thought id stop by. My friend noticed a bag of foreign coins in a box so I asked how much they wanted for it and without even looking at the coins the guy said $15 so I thought why not and I took it. Heres what was in it. Any info on any of these would be great, especially concerning value or country of origin. Some coins have dates that would make them silver in the U.S. but not sure about other countries. If you need more detailed pictures let me know and I'll try my best. Thank you very much

I can't help id all those foreign coins but that's a cool find. I would have bought them too.

I'll help you with the IDs tomorrow. They all seem common, none are silver.

Eire is from Ireland. The yen is from Japan. 1972 10 centavos is from portugal. The L.500 coin is a 500 Lire coin from Italy. the 1997 5 cents coin is from the netherlands i believe. I cant quite make out the picture however. The PTA's are from spain.

#1- 1982 Australia 20 cents- $0.21 (just worth exchange value)

#3- 1996 South Africa 5 cents- $0.15 in XF, $0.75 in uncirculated
#4- 1978 Ireland 1/2 penny (will have 1/2 P on the back)- $0.01 in XF, $0.25 in uncirculated
#5- 1994 Spain 5 pesetas (La Rioja)- $0.04, $0.25 in uncirculated
#6- 1963 Ireland 1 shilling- $1

#8- 1997 Netherlands 5 cents- $0.03
#9- 1983 Mexico 20 centavos- $1.25
#10- reproduction of a Chinese cash coin
#11- post a picture of the other side
#12- Israel 10 agorot (need a pic of the other side to determine value)
#13- 1949 Hong Kong 10 cents (need a pic of the other side to determine value)
#14- 1995 Malta 5 cents- $1
#15- Israel 1 agora (need less blurry pic for value)
#16- 1985-R Italy 500 lire- $0.40
#17- 1950 Hong Kong 10 cents (need a pic of the other side to determine value)
#18- 1972 Portugal 10 centavos- $0.50 (too bad you don't have the 1969 aluminum 10 centavos, it's worth almost $2K)
#20- 1982 Malta 2 cents- $0.05
#21- 1992 Ukraine 5 kopiyok- $0.35
#22- 1950 Japan 1 yen- $0.35 in XF, $1.25 in uncirculated
#23- 1992 Ukraine 1 kopiyka- $0.15 in XF, $0.35 in uncirculated
#24- 1949 Hong Kong 5 cents (need a pic of the other side to determine value)
#25- 1997 Australia 5 cents (need a pic of the other side to determine value)
#26- 1964 Algeria 1 centime- $0.40
#27- 1990 Mexico 20 pesos- $0.30
#28- 1976 Malta 2 cents (need less blurry pic for value)
#29- 1996 Great Britain 1 penny- $0.02 (just worth exchange value)

Uncirculated= no scratches

All the US coins are worth face, the reproductions are worth nothing, and the token and button you should ask someone else about.

What year is the top middle Canadian quarter in the Canadian coin picture?

Sorry it's taken me so long. Canadian coin dates are, a 1968 quarter, 1978 quarter, 1992 nickel, 1979 dime

Hold that 1968 canadian to a magnet. If it doesn't stick, it's 50% silver. I'd almost say it is from the coloration.

Yes, that quarter looks silver. Give it a magnet test.

Thanks for the help everyone! And that huge list of I.d.'s man that's impressive
