Alot of metal detecting in shows lately

I'm not talking about the diggers and stuff. I've seen metal detecting on Pshyc and tonight Castle. Anyone seen it anywhere else?

There has been some episodes of CSI where detectors where used but not prominently. What I hate is when they use the wrong sound effects when they use one. Mostly geiger counter sounds.....drives me crazy. Is it really all that hard to make a detector sound like a detector??
