Amarillo?

I'm sitting in amarillo at the moment and I was curious if there are any other detectorists around. I don't have my detector with me on this trip because my wife took it away from me "jealousy I guess" but I'd like to get together with a local or 2 and learn about the area and your finds here.

I've been driving around town and haven't seen anyone with a detector. I'm assuming detecting is frowned upon here.

I know there is a club in Amarillo or at least there was. Maybe they have a website. I'm NE of there. I'm sure the parks and such
have been pounded.

I visited that club's website. I'm trying to research some of the oldest places in the area so when I pass through again I'll have some decent places to detect.
