This was from this week, but I was able to hunt an incredible property and scored two bucket lister coins in two hours! Unfortunately, the homeowner changed her mind after I did the front yard, and I had to leave. It happens sometimes, but too bad it happened at this place!

Please go to my YouTube channel, NE Pa History and Archaeology Search, to see the video of this great hunt. In the meantime, here are some pictures of the finds.

Hmmm did I miss something ?

Will re-read in morning... for silver doesn't come out of the ground looking like that round here.

Sorry, I haven't checked back on the post in a few days. As I said before, I wet the coin, and then used baking soda between my fingers to rub the discoloration away and shine it up. I wouldn't do this on a rare or key date coin, and you can watch the video on my YouTube channel to see the hunt. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for checking it out! I wet the coin and used baking soda between my fingers to rub the staining and grime away. Controversial, I know. Would never clean a key date coin, but thats how I cleaned them..

Hey your back... Sometimes it takes me awhile to get back as well... its all good.

Glad to see you responded and posted your cleaning method.

Hey, thanks. Sometimes I forget to check back here after I've posted, between getting out to hunt, posting YouTube videos, and life in general..lol. I don't clean all my silver coins, but if they're not key dates or rare, I'll shine them up and put them in an album. Thanks again, GL out there!

Just adding my two cents. Those are some really nice finds. Congrats on them all especially the silvers! I would have probably cleaned them too! That large cent is interesting as well. There was a time when it cost more for certain parts than a penny so people fashioned them into various washers etc instead of buying the stuff at a store.

Nice! I had a similar experience once. The owner was all in for me detecting an 1840 home. Never been hunted before. When I got there she came out and told me I could only hunt in an adjacent field where the grass was knee high. I thanked her kindly, packed my gear and left.

Great coins wow I need a day like that to get the addiction in full gear. Well done
