Detector(s) used
Explorer II, Explorer SE, Dowsing Rods...
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Yesterday was just a Beautiful day to be out in the woods for a hunt with the detector! The area I picked to hunt was a rather large wooded park that sits right next to a 1940's neighborhood. I figured there would be some old silver there lying just beneath the leaves, but what I would later find out there would be something TOTALLY Unexpected......

Out of Nowhere, while I was detecting, here came about five Deer! What's Stange is.... these deer moved closer and closer to me when I was taking pictures of them, and at one point one got within ten feet of me:icon_scratch: They didn't seem afraid of me for some reason! They acted more like they never seen a human before and were Very Curious about me.......

These Are The BEST Pictures I've Ever Taken Of Wildlife CLOSE Up.....

I also found a piece of a farm animal harness, and a silver plated ring while I was out there, but nothing I could have found yesterday would have compared to these pictures I took:headbang:

Take Care, And Thanks For Looking..... Mike.S

GREAT PICS! Thanks for sharing those with us! ..

Nice finds and great pics - someone's been feeding those deer

It's always nice to be out and about, but you were blessed with the visit in the woods - thanks for sharing.

I saw a similar story posted last year. It was a single deer. During the warmer parts of the year, I often share hunting grounds with deer at the local football field. They don't seem interested in me and I have not had any problems with them. It's nice being around the wild life, Just want to avoid the Mountain Lions, Bears and wild Pigs.

some great pics. love running into wildlife. thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing that must of been an awesome experience, congrats on your finds also!!!

Great pics. The deer probably read on the net it wasn't deer hunting season anymore.

Thanks Everyone! I can't wait to get back to this site, but by tomorrow Cincy will have six inches of snow!

Take Care! Mike......
