Found this on a creek bank today ..Indian Pottery? Better pics!

Made on a pottery wheel. Indian pottery was not made using a pottery spinning wheel

This is American Indian Pottery Shards from a Ft Ancient site. This site has been dated from 950 to 1650 AD. Study these and you can see the difference.

Groundskeeper even though it is modern it may date to be colonial or older. If you have a metal detector crock pieces are one visuall thing you look for before you pit the coil to the ground. You may have a good place to hunt just a diffrent type of hunting and with new types of treasure.
