AMOUNT PURCHASED (re to posts)

Dug this cash register topper at a construction site 10" Long 3.5"Wide. I really appreciate lost and long ago history.
:boots:

Thanks treasurenet folks
It is brass, I just rinsed the dirt off and decided to leave it as is took 2 more picts of both sides,
The reason for not wanting to clean it any further is due to past experience, it spoils the look and once it done there is no getting it back.
Take a common silver coin for instance and polishing it up and compare it to a non cleaned huge difference.

Love it! Had to have been a heck of a signal.

Very interesting find! Do you know the material of the topper? I hope it is brass, boy that would clean up real nice.

Hello nova. That is a sweet find and what Professor of Engineering said: "I hope it is brass, boy that would clean up real nice." Please repost it after cleaning. HH C9

Thanks folks

In the case of that particular relic , if it was my find - I think I would polish it . I certainly respect your decision not to , and in the case of
most antiques and collectibles your position is correct . Nice Find !
