an hour and a half and only five holes later at a new spot

I went in search of some new hunting grounds for me and my boys. I went to a couple of friends houses and requested to search their yards. Typical responses "Sure knock yourself out, Doubt if you'll find anything". So I decided to give a quick test of one of the yards because I had some time to kill.

Well this is what I found and I only dug about five or six holes. I found a lot of pocket dumps with multiple coins in them. Every time I thought I emptied the hole I ran the detector over it again and Beep... I got .85 cent out of one dump along with a key. out of another dump I got 4 wheats and a Merc.

All total I dug $2.18, a ring, a key and part of a spoon (odd).
Clad 8 quarters, 4 Dimes, 2 nickels, 6 1/2 pennies
(1) 1943 merc
(6) wheats 1920, (2)1939, 1956, 1945, 1940
(1) 1945 P nickel
(1) Ring that I saw 14k when I dug it but after cleaning it says "14kt GE. ESPO"
Which I found out is electropated designed by esposito worth about 4.95 new !!!!

One great hour and I can't wait to take the kiddies there to see what we find next

The merc is already boxed up. It has one decent sized flaw and that's a scratch right by the E in liberty and it goes onto the hat, but other than that very few micro scratches and the detail looks like it fell right out of the mint.

I can't wait to go back there with the Rugrats
