An hour before dark tonight I decided to go in Our Woods and search under a Fallen tree w/ exposed roots. Nothing under that tree BUT right next to it 3 feet away I found these 3 silver dimes, a feww more feet down the hill 2 Large Cents, and to the right of them was this Cool little Red Cameo... I'm STOKED !!! MY BEST SILVER DAY EVER :laughing7: IMG_4759.webpIMG_4761.webpIMG_4766.webpIMG_4768.webpIMG_4771.webpIMG_4776.webpIMG_4781.webpIMG_4783.webpIMG_4795.webpIMG_4800.webpIMG_4803.webpIMG_4805.webp 180? on one of the L.C. thats the thicker one of the 2 The other L.C. is really toasted but that wide band around the back may be a clue for help to I.D. ... Any thoughts or input would be awesome on them . The Silver Dime's are 1937 Merc. / 1959 Rosie /and a 1962-D Rosie

Nice Hunt... Congrats

That cameo is very interesting. Good finds!

I think your second, thinner LC is actually a Cartwheel copper.

Your Draped Bust LC appears to be 1803 or 1805.

Possibly..... maybe a KGI?...or maybe a William III. what is the diameter compared to the LC?... a KGI would be smaller... a cartwheel would be bigger.

Diameter might be a moot factor considering the condition the coins are in. If the soil is acidic enough to make them turn out as they have, the diameter is probably not what it used to be anyway.

cool finds. the intaglio brooch or whatever is interesting

NICE FINDS

YOU'LL FIND A FEW SIMILAR CAMEOS HERE

cti4sw , I Think You Nailed it? The ground here is very Fertile preserves the silver and kills the copper... and it is Thiner than the first w/ 180? date Both are just over an inch round. Wowsers , I told the Wife it could be My Oldest Coin yet...or Whatever it is ? I still am clueless...lol... Newbie Still so I Will resurch them Now ... I Really apresheate All Your feedback ... Thank You, Garry :skullflag:

Nice finds, thanks for sharing HH

Could use a better photo on that second copper to see it's size. It appears to me it's not a cartwheel, but a British farthing. I've never heard of anyone finding an old cartwheel here, but have heard of many early farthings.

I was going to post farthing, but DoninBrewster has it.

Great day! The LC's can get destroyed over time. I've found 2. One is in pretty good condition (1849) and the other I use in my tumbler! LOL!
