Found it at 7 "...unknown origin...what it is ?...could be an iron nail ?...have you seen something like that before ?...how old ?...

Put out a little more info. Without givin up exact locations, give us a general idea of where it was found, and there's probably some guys on here that can ID it right away. The best I can do right now is it looks European to me.

Wire nails became common circa 1890 - and are the predominant nail today.

My opinion is, it's a cut/bent wire or nail that was twisted at the top.

Anything beyond that is pure speculation.


Hand-wrought nail, before circa 1800

Type A cut nail, circa 1790-1830

Type B cut nail, circa 1820-1900

Wire nail, circa 1890 to present

I think it's a piece of uncurrled Barbed Wire the first picture shows a angled cut, not a point

Its an alien nail made from 2049 that's what it looks like to me, see the round center of the nail only aliens could do that kind of work.
