Here's the result of a couple of recent hunts I didn't get the chance to post.

Got my first Royal Navy purser button from the War of 1812 It's a good addition to the collection as I have never seen them before.

An other ''Two and the Hook'' Revolutionary War 29th Regiment of foot. The smaller ones for some reason always seem to be bent.

An early buckle of the unknown to me type.

And a mystery item.

Great relic and old coin shooting! :icon_thumleft:

WOW you got some great saves!!! Love them big old coppers:icon_thumleft:

Yes, there's something about them for sure. They look like real money unlike what we've got now.

Great finds. Last item reminds me of a cleaning attachment to a ramrod for a muzzle-loader.

Thanks dts. That's actually what I thought as well but I couldn't find the similar one online.

Nice bunch of finds, I've seen a few of those Navy Purser buttons posted but I can't remember if I have one!

''An early buckle of the unknown to me type'' - Its a horse harness buckle, circa 1850.

Thanks for the ID. I might have seen it in the books but I don't recall seing it on the forum since I joined. It sure has an interesting design, too bad the guild didn't survive.

The shear number of rev pewters you dig is absolutely baffling, keep on the great work Aureus... You are killing it

Thanks VMI I guess I had a bit of luck this year with Revolutionary War stuff. I can't say the same for the early silver, haven't got any this season other than the 1900 dime (which isn't really that early).

Funny enough it’s only the Canadians I remember posting them, not sure why only them.

That's very interesting and strange indeed. I would expect them to be found in UK more than in Canada.

Sweet haul. The buttons are sweet! [emoji16]

It's always cool to find one I don't have in my collection especially a design that I didn't even know existed.

I’m not only due for some buttons.
I’m due to get out for some detecting soon I hope! HaHa
