I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is a Continental Navy button. It looks to be an Albert's NAv1. If you can get an accurate measurement and description of the back it would help. I'm thinking that is a great button! Congrats!

Thanks for looking, the button is 9/16 in dia. a little less than 1/16 thick and here is a pic of the back....Thanks again....Greg

Do you guys know what a general value of this button might be ? The reason I am asking is that we have not split up all the stuff we got from this dig so a estimated value could effect me picking this over some other stuff.....Thanks...Greg
