Anfibio users- Machine issue?

Just purchased the Anfibio Multi. For now I have bitten off more than I can chew, it will definitely take time for me to learn the machine. However, a few things I do know how to do. Pinpointing being one. I noticed I receive the same dept readout in all modes except 3 tone. I tested on multiple targets and noticed, example: an 8 inch quarter in 2,4,5 and 99 tones reads 8 inches. Perfect huh. Yet in 3 tone it will read 11 inches. Is this normal for this machine?

Yes it is normal. Mine does it as well. 3-tone not being as deep (especially at 89 gain or lower) as the other tone modes...I think it tries to compensate but overshoots by a fair margin.
