I was wondering if this might be a good choice for a small creek sluice as the water in some of the creeks around here run low in the summer that hold gold and most of the gold is very small glacial gold how does the mackirk grub steak do on the very fine stuff. I have a keene A51 that does great but the water flow isn't enough a lot of the time for that sluice in the creek I go to, so I'm thinking the grub steak will do a lot better with less flow. Thanks for any info

I have the Backpacker that does well in slower water and does great with flour gold.
The Grub Steak is even better since it has a wider opening for more flow. I have 3 AM sluice boxes, ever since I got them, my A51 and A52 has been at home...

With any Angus Mackirk you cannot go wrong!! or so I think...They really work!!

I have been thinking of the grub steak also. The only place that I have found them online is direct from AM. Has anyone else seen this model offered anywhere else?

I have the Recon and it is my "slow flow sluice" , ordered it through Cabelas.

Where in Northern California are you located?
You can check Placerville Hardware, they have them there, branded "Placerville Hardware".
