Another 1880'ish honeyhole

Another private property site I have access to. House was built about 1880, told it was a "Sears House Kit", was also site of an earlier homestead. I've never MD'd there yet, waiting for the ground to dry & thaw more.

In Historic Estancia Valley.

I have to agree that I have some decent sites to play in. It seems that in this valley, detecting & treasure hunting isn't exactly on the locals list of high priorities. Plus being decent folks, once I explain what it is I have in mind, then they REALLY open up to other sites they hadn't been to in years. So my list seems to grow & grow.
The house actually has 2 outbuildings not seen in the photo, but overall, a pretty cool looking house.

Almost expect John Wayne as McClintock to walk out the front door. LOL WAGONS YOOOOOOO!

Isn't it a beautiful house tho? I love it and your right, it's a shame to see something like that just going to waste. I have more photos if you go to my profile then to my website, in our photos section under Larry's Treasure album you can see more pics. I have yet to begin MD'ing the property. Still tied up with a 10 acre site I currently am working on.

Here in Austin,Tx.,we have 2 of those old Sears build it yourself homes and their both worth over $200,000,I saw a show on the HGTV and This OLD HOUSE and they said there was only about 10-15 of those homes still left here in America that people still lived in.SO see if you can buy it.
