The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is making a final rule to list three Sierra amphibians under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The Sierra Nevada yellow-legged frog and the Northern Distinct Population Segment of the mountain yellow-legged frog are being listed as Endangered Species and the Yosemite toad as a Threatened Species.[/FONT]
[FONT=garamond, serif]The amphibians are spread throughout 17 California counties: Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, El Dorado, Fresno, Inyo, Lassen, Madera, Mariposa, Mono, Nevada Placer, Plumas, Sierra, Tulare, and Tuolumne.

[FONT=garamond, serif]The final rule is available for public inspection in the Federal Register today at
www.federalregister.gov/public-inspection. The rule is expected to officially publish to the Federal Register next week on April 29, 2014 and become effective 60 days later on June 30, 2014. [/FONT]
