Airborne, I enjoy seeing what the other guys find but, when I see you finding whole Quartz points, it delights me my friend. Congrats, you deserve them.
Thanks for showing us. Good luck on your next hunt sweetheart.

Thank you Molly :D You know..... it does not surprise me that you say such kind things. After all, you have seen me post my very first real point two years ago.... the find that launched me into this addiction. You watched me find and post man many geofacts as I struggled to learn to differentiate between real and imagined. You backed me up when other well meaning folks failed to recognize some of the points that are unique to my area. You taught me soooo much about specific points and lastly, you always (this post included) motivate and encourage me as I learn. You really have been alongside of me from the get go and I am so happy that the day I found the first point, I googled and found this site. You and soooo many others here have sincerely become a kind of extended family.... a cyberspace kind of family but family nevertheless. When I find a real no questions asked point, I just can't get it posted fast enough and then... like a drug addict... I refresh the page eagerly waiting to see what all of you will say. I wonder if I am the only one that does that hahaha.

Sorry to get so deep into my response but I mean what I say when I say that I do consider you (and many others here) real friends.

thanks hon.

I feel the same way. What a pleasure at last be able to share my meager finds and I also have learned more from here with everyones help then I did in ummm bunches of years of hunting. i quit artifact hunting for a long time but found this place and they got me back out again. I have bought canoes and boats just to find a two dollarpoint I would never sell. I am geared to hunt in one way or another always.

Roger that brother! I also bought a canoe so that I could get further up river and hit the shoreline at low tide. It is much more than a hobby. As I say... its an addiction :D Good luck to you as well and stay safe!

dont know how i missed this thread?real nice find Airborne80.you guys speak about buying canoes and boats for hunting, that gets me stoked!you are correct it is an addiction, but i would like to take it a step further and say it almost becomes a lifestyle.in the rivers, creeks, fields always on the hunt, and sometimes we dont find a thing, but its the hunt that is half the thrill. its still a good day to be out in the wilderness just man,dog and gravel bars.and the occassional girlfriend.lol.

Buying a kayak for hunting has really opened things up for me as far as access. I hunt solo 95% of the time mostly because nobody I know is as patient and thorough enough to go the extra mile, even my hunting buddies. Free of distractions, alone in the wilderness, I can get in the artifact finding zone. Ok, maybe I'm just a bit obsessed, lol.

No you are right. I used to tournament bass fish and was diving out of bass boats looking for arrowheads during fishing tournaments. I always hunted alone but have found a girl that gets upset if she does not go and she is good at it. Sun up to sun down. When I met her she had her own collection already. I am sure I would find more with out her but am happy to share my finds,,,,sometimes,LOL.
It is extreme hunting and you have to find the zone and be focused as heck. Its to me like knowing there is a big buck in the area. You do not want to spook or push him but when hunting him you miss nothing.
I gotta a dove field this year that has artifacts .I wonder how that is going to work out??? :hello:

tn mts,thirty7 we are brothers from another mother!!lol. If it was possible i would be out in a creek everyday sun up to sun down.I always push the limits and I know what you guys are talking about when you are in the zone.I like going where no other hunter has gone and my canoe allows me to do that.in the winter i am in the icy water of the creeks all day,my friends think i am insane, maybe i am a little.so everyone out there if you dont got a canoe or a kayak, then go get one

I got it, set up your hunting blind on the flint in that field, while you're waiting for some doves to fly in you can search for artifacts, kill two birds with one stone! ....pun intended. The image of you diving out of a bassboat for artifacts during a tournament is hilarious, just classic. Sorry for switching topics here airborne.

Hahahah.... no worries brothers. we are family and my post is your post :icon_thumleft: By the way..... as you know, I am a canoe guy myself and watching the two of you go back and fourth has me planning my weekend already and yes... there is a canoe in the plans! I am very close to the intersection of three large creeks into a large river and am planning on heading up one of the creeks on a hunt. Thanks for motivating me guys.
