Another buckle

Got this at the church site that keeps on giving . This might be military or horse tack/ regular buckle. I've found a lot of these early sites all the men were enlisted it seems for me mainly WW1/2
I'm curious has anyone found civil war relics at old homesites from a veteran who survived and lived there ? No war activity at all there but found items?

I have a Civil War vet buried in the side yard of my house and records show the first structure on my place was around 1865. In 30 years, I have found many farm relics but not one civil war related.
