Can anyone help me with an ID on this button? Im new to metal detecting so dont know much about what things are, but trying to learn. Do yall have any good resources to help with identifying relics in SC?
A flat button from possibly the 1820s. Congratulations and keep it up

Hey CT, Congrat's on the Save of the nice button. As said, they are referred to as either flat or coin buttons. Yours is nice with the shank still attached. This will display and show well. Welcome to Tnet. What part of South Carolina are you from? My wife and I are considering moving to South Carolina. We will be watching the Georgia Governors race that is closely approaching. We are considering Mccormick, S.C. just over the Georgia line.
