Another day at City Park

Well guys last week on two separate days I found a sterling silver ring and a tungsten ring which I will admit it's pretty damn heavy, I really don't know what it's made of. But in any case I got very brave today and set out to find a GOLD ring. If anybody sets out to go find a gold ring it's brutal. I've been lucky enough to find three gold rings and that was purely by luck. I did managed to squeak out a old beat up Buffalo. So I'll take it.....had a good day [emoji442]

If you want to find gold rings, then you have to dig the pull tabs (as I've seen you've done).

Finding 3 gold rings is awesome, good for you.

Metal detecting is all about luck if you ask me.

We are lucky that people lose things, and if we are lucky enough we will detect in the area in which it was lost. LOL.....

You've got the right attitude! There are the days I dig all high tones...it's just the mood I'm in...some days I'm in the mood to dig every signal as I know that's how you find gold..no secret recipe, no secret tricks or prayers...just dig dig dig trash..I've only found one gold, very nice 18k ring, but I worked for it! And it was a day I had the same mindset as you...dig everything in search of! Ddf

You might not have struck gold but you did free a Buffalo so congrats on that!
Two ring earlier in the month is good and you did do the park a favor with some cleanup and you got to go out swinging. Better than staying home, looking at the snow....

Yep, It's all about luck. I seen people with a cheap RS detector with the best find of the day and the person with the two thousand dollar detector with nothing.

Congratulations on the Buffalo.
I do pretty good on nickels.
I have to admit I could do better on the pull tabs but most times I ignore those signals. In the water, with my Excalibur, I usually dig everything.
