Another day, same beach from the other side and I can't find the coin line on the slope to save my life. There are a few quarters at random but no dimes and just a very few pennies. But I keep at it.

For the way back I decide to do the top of the slope which is flat and dry sand. Many, many bottle caps. I am obssesive about getting every last one and I must have picked up over 150...but there is a silver...or rather Platinum lining!

Yep...one of those bottle caps is a silvery key ring...but wait it's way too heavy...and there inside the ring I can see PLAT!

It's the smallest platinum ring I've ever found (found six total but two were returns). Weighs in at 6.1 grams and is b e a u t i f u l !

Gotta Love this hobby!

I love digging platinum. It makes me feel like I did the first gold ring I dug. And the weight, It's great picking it out of the scoop and thinking, OH this is really heavy for its size.....Platinum. Congrats.

Finding a ring is such a nice change from all the pennies, pull tabs and bottle caps. Still looking for my first platinum ring.
