Another Day Out With MDeus

Wow, you must have been up early to find all that
And all before work too...unless that is, you're retired like me.
There's nothing wrong with your program if you're making deep finds like that. Still using the two tones?
Looks like you're going to have to listen for the REALLY deep stuff if your clad quarters are that deep! Looking forward to more of your finds!

Yeah,I'm retired!:laughing7: The 4 kHz seems to "hit" coins harder than the other frequency's? Up until now I was a diehard 8 kHz guy! Never liked 12 kHz since it';s so good at finding trash, and sounding like good targets! LOL! The 2 tone is all I use generally coinshooting. A trash tone, and a good, dig it, High tone. Around here it isn't uncommon to hit a silver merc at 9-12 inches. For some reason our coins really sink fast, you will dig a lot of copper memorial pennys at 6 inches. Must be the soil? I would love to hit silver at 3-5 inches, but that's not gonna happen here!:laughing7: I have a 8 kHz program that hammers the coins, and won't hit the zink penny's also. It will miss the IH penny's,but really hammers the, wheaties, silver, and clad coins. Here'
s the program!

The deep coins here seem to be in looser soil near lots of trees and busy roads. I could be wrong, but the looser soil allows coins to sink easier; combine that with vibration and dust from busy roads with big trucks and the deciduous trees doing their thing every year seems to make for deeper targets. Of course, there's really no telling what people have done to land as far as dirt movement over the years, nor what burrowing animals have done. But it certainly is a pleasure to go from one place where memorials are a 6 inches to another place where they're only at 3.

I know what you mean about the 12K freq. When I switch between freqs, the 12K freq turns those choppy/poor signals in 4K and 8K into a very nice "dig me" tone.

Yeah,I dug so much trash in 12kHz that I never use it anymore! I guess if I went relic hunting it would be ok,but I don't get too excited over old, nails, belt buckles, hindges, ect. LOL!

I was just looking at this post again and noticed the notch (92-99) in the program you posted. If you're using this program in any frequency, this notch will knock out your big coins/big silver. If you can bear some of the added signals, you might consider changing this notch to 97-99. Some of the larger coins (large cents) and big silver (halves/dollars) will easily reach to 96 in many conditions. But if you know the ground you're hunting and simply want to scrape up the remaining smaller stuff, then your notch will be ok....but even then, two silver quarters in the same hole will make your VDI climb up high too (half dollar signal). Good luck!

Very nice finds. IHCs and Mercs are my favorites. GL&HH.
