Another flood control find

Didn't find any buttons this time but the old flood control site finally coughed out a coin at 8". I believe its a large cent but no date is visible. I'm soaking it in mineral oil to see if it cleans up a bit. Where theres one there's gotta be more.

It appears to be a Draped Bust LC. I hope you can get a date on it. Nice find.

Soak it in hot peroxide cleans them up real nice. Just did my LC got the date and real nice detail on the head of it.

Thanks all. I've got it soaking in peroxide now but I think I can make out a date of 1798. I'll post some pics if it gets better.

This thing is in pretty rough shape but after a little peroxide soak followed up with some vasoline you can pretty much make out the date...which I'm happy with.
