Wow... not a bad little patch! Congrats!

Good finds in the coastal areas of CT .Some shell middens are directly associated with villages, as a designated village dump site. In others the material is directly associated with houses in the village; each house would dump their garbage directly outside the house. In all cases, shell middens are extremely complex and very difficult to excavate fully and exactly. However, the fact that they contain a detailed record of what food was eaten or processed and many fragments of stone tools and household goods makes them invaluable objects of archeological study. Beautiful old coins and I don't care how it's spelled. "F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C F-I-N-D-S" is how I would spell it.

ANY coin from the 1700's is awesome in my book.

2 Real nice finds! Congrats........Hogge

Congrats on the half real and copper!

Killer hunt. :icon_thumright: That KG is in awesome shape. If you're finding oyster and clam shells and there's bits of pottery and iron mixed in, you might be in a pit area. I dug 3 silvers and a dozen or more coppers from the pit I've been working. It's worth opening up and sifting a bit. I've been amazed at what's masked by iron down there.

That's a nice little coin spill. Being that close I'm sure they were dropped together. Both in good condition. Congrats!

Man you killed it!

Dude I want ANY KG with a readable date. That's a sweet hunt!

great finds! It's spelled "real" not "reale"
Its actually spelled either way - just like trifid spoon or trefid spoon
depending on where youre from
I personally use "reale" ---because newbies or people that don't know Spanish silver will think Im saying "Its real"

That silver is fantastic but man talk about great condition on that copper!, don't get much better than that, congrats!
