Hi everyone, I am back with another post from a new site which produced pretty well. My friend and I who I hunt with had tried finding this site 10 years ago but could never located it. Starting Sunday we were determined to find it. Sunday was a bust and we couldn't locate it. I had a few hours after work on Monday to try another area after some more research and while looking, my friend scored a 1787 half reale, a few feet away I found a small button. We were excited to have located it, however we had to leave due to limited time. We planned to return tomorrow (Tuesday). When we reached the site once again on Tuesday we both began to search more thoroughly around where the half reale was found. I got a matron copper which gave us hope we had found the spot. A few more coppers later and things had died off. I walked a little further and got a signal a little better than a shotgun shell. To my surprise it was a pair of spectacles with the glass lenses still intact, a first for me! Never had I found old glasses. Again, after that things died off but we didn't give up. I expanded the search and got another copper, as did my friend. Nearby I got another copper signal. My friend came over just to see it dug. To my surprise it was a 1756 2 reales! While 2 reales are silver they dont always ring super high like a silver quarter. And once again things died off. My friend went back to where we initially had found a good number of coins and he got another signal. We knew it was going to be a small silver, and behold it was. A beautiful 1833 half dime. A really nice way to end a hunt. By now it was past 8 and getting dark. The weather was beautiful, the site was fun, and the finds were memorable, overall a great day!
