Another hunt...wild finds...

[outraged]

Hello

I made it back to the home I have been hunting for the last week or so...I made some finds including 3 IH's 2 1884's and a 1888...I gave these to the homeowner who says she has never seen one...I almost said...Didnt they use these still when you were growing up?? LOL....However I refrained...She is a very nice old woman....In her upper 80's and still push mows a HUGE yard...(she is hardcore)..I wont bore you with the details of the rest of the hunt...I will just post pics...Most of the things I do not even know what they are...lol...

Nice finds,

That is a old site for sure. A nice old flat button. I'm sure there is more around there.

Nice finds. Your fob is a political piece from 1904. It was issued in support of Teddy Roosevelt who was the Republcian standard bearer in 1904. He had assended to the presidency in 1901 when William McKinley was killed. At the end of his term in January 1909, he turned the seat over to Republican William Howard Taft, and went to Africa on a hunting safari. Some of these linked fobs also have a attached round picture medal attached to the bottom link. Many times these are lost. That's what appear to have happened to the one you found. Still, a nice find.
