Another red rock.

I found another red rock and need an I D on it if possible. Found in NW Georgia in a field. Its outer cortex is a grainy texture but it is dense and seems heavy for its size. Its 5" x 3" in size. Thanks, rock

Can't say much of anything on the ID. The pictures appear to be to dark to see the individual mineral grains.
A close-up in better light would help.

It looks like a wild mix, however. Could you break open a part of it to expose a fresh surface?
Looks moist in the pics, please keep it dry when taking the pic on the freshly exposed surface. :)
