found this ring at the mental hospital tonite. pretty sure it is gold but no marks. looks to be a ruby too

It does look to be a beauty, and I agree, definitely looks like gold. Marks could have worn off or could have been removed if the ring was sized. Easy enough to test for gold content at a jeweler or you can buy a gold test kit pretty inexpensively. If you're going to continue to pull gold out of that place, its good to have your own kit.
