my guess on this thing is that it is part of a gas fueled lamp or light fixture.

One is a spigot (the one with the fleur de lis)not sure of spelling on that, The handle T shaped one looks to be a cork puller possible not cork screw just puller.Did your site have a Tavern or an Inn there.
 
Not to my knowledge. #1 is a gas lamp valve. The item with the edge letters is a Linotype slug.
 
#1 definately not a spigot..........like gforce say's........gas lamp valve!
 
Really like the fancy gas lamp valve! :icon_thumright: My son has dug several linotype slugs, and we always try to guess what the rest of the words would've added to the meaning. Because he worked 10 years in a modern printing plant, finding these older-style items is fun for us. Closest I've gotten was to dig a very large metal #4 buried near where it had fallen from an old public volleyball court, lol. HH Andi
