I was going to sell this at the flea market but when I went to look it up, there was absolutely none similar. I found the super rare British warranted Extra and superior and Canadian ones, and some badges similar to mine but have a Patent date of 1887. Mine has a patent date of 1867 So how rare exactly could this be? It has the split nuts and a sunken badge but It's got me stumped.

True, I will have to lightly clean it. It looks like it could be 1862

I was wondering if anymore information was found about this saw? I just purchased a very similar saw in pristine condition at a ReStore for $4. However, this saw has a single large medallion that says Warranted Extra and the three additional "screws" are Warranted Superior medallions. This is a rip saw with 10TPI. Any additional information anyone could provide would be great. Yeah I currently have an old Disston from the early 1900's that I refurbished and added to my toolbox. I don't buy them to just sit. I buy them to give them a second life doing what they were made to do. And with this one possibly being 150 years old, wow! Where can you buy a current saw that will last 150 years from now? I don't think anywhere. Old tools have become my addiction!

And I don't think, or at least cannot make out, any etchings on the blade.
