Any discounts on MDs?

Close to purchasing my first MD. I notice prices are the same at every online dealer. Do any discount, or are the posted prices set in stone?

I bought my ATP from Bart. Got to NC in a day or so from OK.

The manufacturers tell the dealers the minimum price they can charge. If left to free market forces, some large dealer would sell the product at very little margin, this would hurt the other dealers. Nobody wants to sell something that they can not make a little money on. In the long run it costs the consumer a little more money, but it allows multiple dealers, as well as keeps the dealers from beating up on the manufacturer for lower costs. That being said, if you call a supporting vendor, and tell them you are from TNet... there just might be a little wiggle room in the price. Keep in mind that lower cost items, have very little profit in them anyway (for the dealer).

Don't know how far you are from the Burlington area here in NC but the local dealer, Jerry Barbee at Barbee Detector Sales is great to work with. I have been dealing with him since 1993. Just purchased an AT Pro from him earlier this week. There is something to be said about working with a local dealer, getting your hands on a machine and talking with the folks going in and out of the business. Before you purchase, you might want to give Jerry a chance.

What are you looking for? I was acutally about to sell my good old trusty ACE 250. Its been well used, kinda dirty. But works perfect

I have talked to several vendors on Tnet and everyone I have talked have been great. I have bought 3 detectors in 3 years and was treated fairly each time.

I just got a Garrett 250 from Jerry he spent a good amount of time going over how to use the detector great guy!
If you can drive down and see him you may want to call first to let him know your coming
