Found this between the house and barn of an early 1800's farm in SE Texas. Any ideas?

Possibly a rosette from a horses bridle?

The ES font does not look like old style.....maybe the back of a watch case is my guess.

I found one very similar, except mine is a little larger. Like devldog said it could possible be a horse bridle rosette.

Hoagie yours is defiantly a rosette.

Woody I'm thinking yours is a freeze plug from possibly a small farm engine.
