Any idea what these letters came off of??

Hey all.

I was detecting at my brother in laws house. Supposedly one of the oldest houses in that area. I found these next to the road. Any idea what these came off of? They feel to be made of heavy metal. thanks!

Maybe from a utility pole?

I'll bet it is off one of those old mailbox tops with the owners name on top

yup, i agree with mailbox top or the top of a swing gate for a fence! Nice digs!
