Is the suspected match safe Identical on both sides on the top. If so that could be where a striker wheel was and it could be a lighter case minus the interior parts and the striker wheel. I don't know but those were my first thoughts. Something like this

Rough, missing top. Does appear to have a push button to release, allowing something to slide out.
