Any Interest?

Just talked to the landowner again and I asked him if the snakes were still pretty aggressive and you know he started laughing at me?He said around the farms where they spray so many chemicals, the snakes don't really hang out too much but he said there may be a few and he always has his gun in the truck but said if any of you wanted to wear a sidearm,he didn't care, just do whatever we want.

Mr. & Mrs. Wussssss ;D

got them,

Somebody needs to tell the snakes that the baddest bunch of tennis shoe wearing dirt fishermen with attitudes are coming to Uvalde to kill snakes to make us belts, hatbands, and boots. :laughing9: That'll give them a couple of days to head towards Mexico or else face certain death by gunshot, knife or stick poisoning. :violent1:

WSD, is this land plowed land like a farm or is it cattle land? Just wondering if the grass is high?? How far is it down that road you were talking about after the turn off from the curve on the main road? I have downloaded some aerial pictures going down that road but I don't know if I got this place or not.. Any idea.......???

Steve ;D

Feel pity for the snakes!!!! :icon_thumleft:

I haven't asked, but above he said the farms down there spray a lot of chemicals so I assume it's not cattle.

this might help ya Steve, from the vistor center

Uvalde was first settled in 1853 and in 1855-56 was known as Encina. We were once the domain of the notorious frontier sheriff and outlaw, J. King Fisher. Today, Uvalde serves as a retail center for extensive cattle, sheep and goat ranching, and truck farming. Industries include vegetable packing and processing, aircraft modifications, and garment making. Uvalde is at the intersection of our nation's two longest highways, US 90 and US 83. We are also home of Southwest Texas Junior College and Sul Ross State University, Rio Grande College.

I'd think it would be grazing land with some scrub oaks, etc scattered by looking at sats myself.

I won't confess to being a wuss, but I have trouble just keeping blood flowing through my veins let alone testrone! Had to go to the doc yesterday and get some kind of miracle drug shot into my back with a foot long needle just to be able to keep from walking funny. Walking funny might seem kinda' gay looking but I ain't! Look how John Wayne walked funny. You wouldn't have called him a wuss. Anyway, I hope you guys have a great time and I only wish I was able to make the trip. Maybe next time? Adios! Monty

If I'm looking at the right place,it looks like a lot of trees, but I only found fr481,not 480???Of course I'm not that good with these map things.
