I got the lat/longs of all the burial places too if anyone wants them.

to get your mouth watering

Texas has more buried treasure than any other state, with 229 sites within the state's borders. The total value? An estimated $340 million. And much of this treasure lies under the rugged oaks and rocky landscape of the Texas Hill Country. There are many stories behind this area, some that have been told for generations and many that may remain secrets taken to the grave by the original treasure owners

I knew a guy that ran a large campground on the Frio river about 10-15mi north. He rented tubes for the people to tube down the frio for miles. You had to ford the river on the road but a regular car could do it.From there on the Frio got a little deeper and fast but that large campground was always packed in the summer. And then just on the southside of uvalde, there was an areawhere I think it was an extinct volcano. But lots of area around uvalde. You may want to hang out a couple extra days. Now since I lived there,1995,the town has grown quite a bit,so I don't know what has taken over whatever. The guy that ran that campground was a big shot at the wool plant that I rented our house from. They have those angora sheep or maybe it's goats? and they make sweaters, socks, etc.Guess they still do if anyone is interested in angora wear.It was what I called a little pricey when I was there. And everyone remember to bring a large sack because you can probably pickup and bring back a bag full of mesquite for your bbq.
