If I could ever get a complete list on how many is coming, maybe I could get a rate from one of the motels.Come on,raise your hand.I got me,juanmoretime, for sure.Maybe,TC,Baggins,Ricky P,Tin Nugget,BEF,cyber.
Noodle - If monty or burdie is not going, and I don't have to go out that way to pick 'em up,I may come down your way for that smootch and hug!Wish you and Dan would just bite the bullet and come on out, hell,I'll even pick you up and bring you back,I'm not sure but there may be an old time fiddle museum there???

Cyber is asking for a pass by his last PM, I am ready and my machine is at the door with her leash on. I think I am raising my hand WSD so add me to list.

No, no, I can go! I just had to convince Saint Ellen she could survive one weekend without me!! I sure have her fooled..... :laughing9:

Where will you be leaving from Bobby? You still in Pensacola or are ya down at the family homestead?!?

Anyone from the Tallahassee area to the hunt site can hitch a ride with us!! Splitting the costs will make it a lot cheaper for ya!
Come on folks, lets go detectin'!!

Stan, Dennis, it won't be the same without you goofballs! You sure you can't come?! We're already gonna be missing Evie and Jeff, Nana and Charlie, Roswell, Noodle, Monty and some of the other stalwarts...... this is just too much!!

I'll be standing by the road side with my thumb out :0)

Got this email a few min ago from joanne at the c of c in uvalde. She has been on vacation.
Ron,

Wonderful! Glad to hear it worked out for at least part of your group on such short notice and maybe next year will be even better if you should choose to come back.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you during your stay in Uvalde. We will have welcome bags prepared for those that come and will give those to you when you arrive!

Have a lovely day ahead!

Regards,
Joanne Nelson

I'm going to give joanne a little monetary gift for her busting her butte on this.I figure maybe $75-100.If any of you would like to chip in $10-15,I would appreciate it but don't feel like you have to since I said there was no fee for this.

Cyber-In the rooms they have the modem you plug in.In the lobby they have wireless.

I am in on this WSD for a ty gift

Just talked to the landowner.I told him we would be at his place about 8am on 24th.He said he'd show us where he found a couple of old pistols(he said plural). The place has never been detected.

BTW,I'll be driving a small car down so if anyone has and has room,it would be nice to have a card table or two and maybe an awning.Don't forget to bring a chair or two.I doubt if there will be any shade to speak of.Temp has been in the mid 80's there.

Man its a shame to get to detect a place that never has been detected and a couple of old pistols have been found there....makes me not want to go, who wants to detect a place that hasn't been beat to death!!!!! :BangHead: I mean after all, we'll have to work and try to find stuff, how sad! Anybody else feel sorry for me??? :wav:

Steve ;D

I do Juan! Since those two pistols have been found, there probably isn't anything left to find....might as well not go.......poor, poor us!
Baggins

HAVING FUN IN 9!

Not sure what we are taking there WSD, Cyber is working on rounding a few horses and getten them saddled. If we can I'll place a small table and a 10x10 in the buck board to help.

:hello: :icon_thumleft:

Y'all keep in mind now,I haven't seen this place. It's just a shot in the dark. But if it doesn't work out,There's other areas there we can hit and like I said,I don't think there has ever been a detector in town. The gal at the motel even asked me what that was and I know where all the fiestas were held.I think they had at least one a month when I lived there.

Pat Garrett
Dale Evans
The Newton Gang
And for the gals -Matthew McConaughey

There was an NFL guy also but I can't remember his name.

If any of you know how to use those googly maps,I don't,if you can find the cemetary on the south side of west 90(main st),and go south on that rd toward the old Am Legion,Geo said there was a big curve before the legion and if you didn't take that curve but go straight ahead on a gravel rd,it leads right into the farm. That rd use to be known as 'the old Eagle Pass rd but I don't know what they call it now.Anyway, you may get an idea of where we will be.

Old Eagle Pass Road is now county road 353

Gravel road looks like City Road 481 to me WSD

The new road is called Farm to Market 481

We are looking at 13 hours roughly a drive from me straight down I 10

I'll be at the motel about noon.Don't go to the site on friday. We'll scout around a little for other areas and I need to see Joanne and my other friend and then do some scouting.Joanne said she would have some bags for all of you also so you should go with me.

John Fletcher played Guard for the Bengals in 1987. He was born in Uvalde. That's the only NFL'er I heard of being from that county.
