Four years on this forum count? I've been on MD forums for 15 years or so, not sure how long on TNet.

don't know if I am considered a longterm member, but i have been lurking this site over a year before I joined, don't know why I didn't join sooner. Great site with many great people. :)

Wow this post sort of took off! Good to see all the old members are here.

I started back in 2008 when (RIP) Rich Hartford started posting, I remember trying to beat his finds although I never told him. I miss him!

I miss all the old, good finds. My area has dried up, I've decreased boxes to 2 a month (will stop them soon too after they dry up). I'll transition to pennies to save money, but probably won't end up doing a whole lot because I'm super busy with the family and house.

This hobby wore on me, I found myself asking "why am I doing this?" so I stopped. I've found very little over the past few months and just decided it wasn't worth it anymore.

We added our first son, Harrison Bennett, to our family 22 JUL. He along with my daughter and wife get the majority of my time now. I'm happier than ever!

Good to see you all post, I still read posts and check in, but enjoy yourselves in the mean time and God Bless and happy hunting.

Hey - I've been here since 2008 and just noticed that this will be my 1000th post! That takes me to coveted "bronze" member status. This seems like the perfect thread to post to for my 1000th. When I joined LJ was the local hero here. Silver prices then crashed and she was pushing everyone to "buy, buy, buy" with silver at $9 an oz. I am happy to say I took her advise and bought my share that year. Still wish I'd gone "all in" then but got my share. We've had our share of drama here and I must say it has been a fun and profitable ride. :icon_thumright:
