Hi there, been detecting on and off for many years: recently picked up a couple of Tesoro's and a Fisher F70 again.

It's stinking hot here these days but still having fun goofing around with them.

Been a member of findmall for a while, but it seems there's not that much happening there lately, so I found this forum and thought to check it out.

Welcome aboard. What type of Tesoros do you use? I swung a Bandito2 for a while and really liked it during my keeping up with the Jones years.

Right now I have a silver sabre 2, (my very first decent detector bought many years ago) a bandido 2, Conquistador umax, Eldorado Umax and a Tejon

Lots of good knowledge with this site. Auburn is my home town. Went to Placer and still have friends from high school there. I’m in Sutter Creek, so not too far. I like finding old camp sites in the mountains. I’ve pulled interesting things out of the ground.

nice, I'm more in the valley/very beginning of foothills. how do you find those sites? Do you use maps?
