Not to sound too political, but they show their stupidity just by the notion of this. Also, Congress would have to approve the measure. Anyway the ideas already been dropped.

The gang with the trillions aren't gonna fall for that one. That's why they have 'em.
 

Economically that is how the debt will be paid off though, whether it is one big coin or just rampant inflation the principle is the same.
 

It's always amazed me that our country can run on un-backed paper currency. It was a tough sell to leave silver and gold, but somehow they did it.
