What these clips are from? I found them in a wooded area where I have found all manner of things from the 1800s to present day. They(found 2 of them) are some sort of spring clip that were attached to something that rotted away. I assume that they went together like I have them in one picture. The one part has TOWER'S on it, but that didn't help me in trying to figure out what they are from. Any help??

Not from a boot. From a rain slicker. But it's the same kind of fastener.
